About

Hi and thanks for taking the time to view my blog, a collection of images that I’ve taken over the years.

I believe that no subject matter should be considered outside the realm of photography; it’s how well you represent that subject matter that’s the important thing and I hope you’ll see that attitude reflected throughout the blog.

Photography has been both a profession and a hobby of mine for nearly thirty-five years, the first twenty-five of which were spent working with film. Having been a little resistant at first, I made the switch to digital over ten years ago. Now I really enjoy the creativity that the digital medium affords and it’s great to see my work evolving so readily from concept to print. I also love learning new techniques, just as I love looking at new work on the internet.

Just to add that I was born and live in Cardiff – that’s in South Wales for those of you not in the know. It’s not the biggest city in the world but as the capital of a small nation, with heavy recent investment and a dynamic industrial past, there’s more than enough to keep me focused on when I’m not on my travels or working in the studio.

I hope you like my work and I really appreciate Likes’ and/or Comments and endeavour to reply to all comments sent.

Darrell.

  2. Greetings from Australia Darrell,
Met some lovely Welsh people while I lived and worked for five years in the United Kingdom. Would have loved to have spent more time in Wales though. Take great care and all the best in expressing your life long passion with Photography.

  12. Merhaba Darrell…

Here’s a little New Years message from Türkiye to say “thank you”. I appreciate your recent ‘follow’, knowing how many interesting and entertaining blogs there are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my little corner of the world tries to offer an eclectic smattering of posts, from basic amateur photography, to sharing my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day-to-day happenings here on our fruit farm in southern Turkey. I also throw in a few of my observations on life and lighter-hearted stuff for good measure.

You are more than welcome to have a look around, stay a while and have a trawl through my collection. There are plenty of categories within the drop-down menus to help in said digging process. Of course, if you have any comments, suggestions or concerns, feel free to let me know – I’m not easily offended 🙂

Hope you have a great day and even better 2015…
